All Season Tires:

All season tires are made for longevity, quietness and comfort of ride, and good wet, dry, and LIGHT snow handling. The rubber compounds in an all season tire make the tread features of that tire incapable of functioning below 30 degrees. You can have the very best all season in the world, but below 30 degrees, the tread is hard as a rock and can no longer flex and function. At that point, you are relying entirely on your vehicle’s capability in the snow, rather than the vehicle working together with the tire.

All Weather Tires:

All weather tires are versatile tires with balanced performance on wet and dry roads and optimal traction in deep snow allowing drivers the freedom and confidence to drive on one set of tires year round. These tires carry the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol for severe winter conditions.

Winter Tires:

A winter tire is made from a different combination of rubber compounds as well as intricate tread

features that maximize traction on ice and snow. These compounds remain flexible below 30

degrees and even below 0. This allows the tread to flex and function and actually work against

the ice to give you the safest and most complete winter traction possible. The peak times to

switch between all season and winter tires is generally between April 15th and June 30th and

September 1st-December 31st.
